Cats with no name
These are cats with no name. Most of these cats have been either abandoned or were born in the wild to abandoned mothers. The area has many colonies of these wild or abandoned cats. Many of these cats were loving pets or the unwanted litter of an unspayed pet. Potomac Valley Pet Rescue is capturing these cats and transporting them for veterinary care. Once at the vet these cats will be tested for feline leukemia, if the results are negative then the cat will be vaccinated and spayed or neutered. After a brief recovery and evaluation period the cats are released at the place of capture. If the cat is evaluated to be adoptable, it will be placed on this web sight for adoption.

The sad reality is that millions of unwanted pets are destroyed each year in this country because there are not enough homes for them. The only solution to the problem is for pet owners to spay or neuter their pets. If you would like to help, make a donation to our spay / neuter fund or help out a neighbor or family member with spaying or neutering their pet.
